Back to school Time

Its seems like summer is almost over and now it is back to school time, which also means, school shopping. While I was compiling a list of what the kids need, my youngest said we should have a back to school concert type show for when the next time the family gets together which is labor day. I was cursing my fave site and landed on yamaha dgx 640 at musicians friend and figured this looked so cool. Not sure what the plan is but the whole concert idea sounds great and I am sure putting n a show for everyone would be awesome.

How to grill indoors and grilling flavors

Whether you live in an apartment, or it is cold outside to use the grill, here are some great ways that I have personally used and have had success with delicious grilling meats. OK first of all, you cant use a regular grill indoors, too dangerous! We have an indoor george foreman grill which could be used on the stand and looks like this

This is great for grilling just about anything you would use on a regular outdoor grill and its so easy to clean. Now here is the best part of getting that nice grilling flavor......are you ready? An indoor smoker! OMG this thing is a life changer. My boys love the great flavor hat it gives our meats, fish and veggies. . The way it works, you put the woodchips that it comes with on the bottom and the meat goes on top, cover it and voila. It does not get smokey at all to the point where it would be bad if you lived in an apartment, you can smell the nice hickory or whichever flavor of wood chips you decide to use. You can choose to cook ti al the way in the smoker, but what we did was smoke our meats for a few to get that flavor and then transfer it to the grill and let it finish that way. The results are fantastic! With this method, you can easily grill indoors and not miss the flavors of an outside grill. This is a great way for people that live in apartments and want to grill indoors. All of the products that we have purchased and used are very affordable and will not burn a hole in your pockets.

Making your own Junk food

We all crave the unhealthiest foods from burgers to candies and sugary stuff. I find that whenever I am craving the not-so-good stuff, it is kind of healthier to make them yourself. Thee are plenty of sites that have copy cat recipes and boy do I love them. Another benefit of doing these is that not only are the cheaper to make, but you know what is in them, therefore although unhealthy much more healthier than actually going out and ordering it.

Having Healthy snacks available

I am one of those people who definite have to work on keeping my weight where I want it and I find that one of the tricks that help me do this is having healthy snacks available at all times especially when I get those cravings. Have you ever just sat at your computer and you just feel the need to just eat? Chats me! Some of the ideas of what I keep handy are: Fruits..always have fresh fruit in the fridge in Ziploc bags for those on the go, nuts..peanuts, almonds or a trial mix with raisins, is yummy. Another great tip to keep you from grazing or over eating. Fill up just amount for one serving in ziplock bag and once its done, that's it..snack time over!

I swear whenever I am in the need for something, the first place that I go visit is amazon! The delivery men and I are on the first name basis because I am always ordering things that I am in need of. Whether it is clothing for men, women and children, items needed fro your craft, or anything in particular, amazon has it and you can always guarantee you get the best things. I have never ever had to return an item.

Crazy Weather

This weather has been so wacky lately and it is making me so sick. If I am running errands early in the morning, it is cold, then gets really warm, then its storming by the time I head back home. Every where it is crazy, snow places where it normally does not snow and unseasonal strange things all over! Who knows how this summer is going to be like, I just hope its to the point where I can breathe.

I have just recently seen this because a few friends of mines are dog lovers, I mean the dogs have their own room and everything! I thought this was a great idea because I read all the features and i cant see how any small dog owner would NOT want want to get this, its genius. I think I know what to get my dog lovers friends for the holidays, its a little pricey but well worth it.

Being Human, UK version

I love watching shows that are from the UK, I cant explain it but many series are just so raw and interesting. The one things that I do detest is when there is an American remake. Not that this is a bad thing but many of the cases have shown that it doesn't even match up to the versions that has been already done. for example, the inbetweeners is one show that they remade and a total disaster! It is just not the same because there is alot of things that the series in the UK can get away with such as profanity and nudity which in most cases helps the show.

Sci-shows

These days I am finding myself into alot of genre of shows that I normally would not even bother with back then. Especially such shows with vampires and zombies. I guess its the fascination of seeing what it would be like if such a thing could even occur and of course many of the shows have pretty good writing compared to most that I have seen before.

Cheap Meals on a budget

These days foods are so expensive, I remember when $20 could buy some groceries, at least 2 bags full, now I am lucky if that can cover a couple of items. Because of this, we have learned how to eat and on a budget. Budget meals are not only easy but they also feed the family. Things like rice and pasta or homemade pizza can be great for these kinds of meals if you want something other than ramen noodles. We have learned to make meat stretch as well as having meatless dinners which is not only helping with saving, but also very healthy as well.

Quality Bathroom Vanities and cabinets

One thing that I love about my bathroom, is that it looks like something out of a brochure and I will tell you why. I have always said that you can have your place look like a million bucks without having to spend that much. When I told my husband that I wanted to have a bathroom vanity for our bathrooms, he didn't see the purpose of it, but after we ordered it and had everything fixed and put in place, he wondered what took us so long. We went for more of an antique look which really makes the bathroom come alive and give it a nice feel. There are many looks that you can choose from and sizes of the cabinets. I love that I can order it online and look through all the categories and styles. I am waiting until next year when we re-do our downstairs bath and get a vanity for it, I already know what look I am going for... I cant wait!

Ok so like everyone else, I am digging the harlem shake videos..I remember saying to my hubby a few days ago, I think this is like a new thing that everyone is doing, then we started watching all the videos and was thinking about making one with our family haha. who knows, maybe we might actually make one since everyone is doing their own.
