Crazy Weather

This weather has been so wacky lately and it is making me so sick. If I am running errands early in the morning, it is cold, then gets really warm, then its storming by the time I head back home. Every where it is crazy, snow places where it normally does not snow and unseasonal strange things all over! Who knows how this summer is going to be like, I just hope its to the point where I can breathe.

Being Human, UK version

I love watching shows that are from the UK, I cant explain it but many series are just so raw and interesting. The one things that I do detest is when there is an American remake. Not that this is a bad thing but many of the cases have shown that it doesn't even match up to the versions that has been already done. for example, the inbetweeners is one show that they remade and a total disaster! It is just not the same because there is alot of things that the series in the UK can get away with such as profanity and nudity which in most cases helps the show.

Sci-shows

These days I am finding myself into alot of genre of shows that I normally would not even bother with back then. Especially such shows with vampires and zombies. I guess its the fascination of seeing what it would be like if such a thing could even occur and of course many of the shows have pretty good writing compared to most that I have seen before.

Cheap Meals on a budget

These days foods are so expensive, I remember when $20 could buy some groceries, at least 2 bags full, now I am lucky if that can cover a couple of items. Because of this, we have learned how to eat and on a budget. Budget meals are not only easy but they also feed the family. Things like rice and pasta or homemade pizza can be great for these kinds of meals if you want something other than ramen noodles. We have learned to make meat stretch as well as having meatless dinners which is not only helping with saving, but also very healthy as well.

Quality Bathroom Vanities and cabinets

One thing that I love about my bathroom, is that it looks like something out of a brochure and I will tell you why. I have always said that you can have your place look like a million bucks without having to spend that much. When I told my husband that I wanted to have a bathroom vanity for our bathrooms, he didn't see the purpose of it, but after we ordered it and had everything fixed and put in place, he wondered what took us so long. We went for more of an antique look which really makes the bathroom come alive and give it a nice feel. There are many looks that you can choose from and sizes of the cabinets. I love that I can order it online and look through all the categories and styles. I am waiting until next year when we re-do our downstairs bath and get a vanity for it, I already know what look I am going for... I cant wait!

Ok so like everyone else, I am digging the harlem shake videos..I remember saying to my hubby a few days ago, I think this is like a new thing that everyone is doing, then we started watching all the videos and was thinking about making one with our family haha. who knows, maybe we might actually make one since everyone is doing their own.

Ok maybe not rock, but you know what I mean! I am in a good place right now where I can finally slow down and catch up on things that needs my attention. I have been so buys the past couple of months and with the holidays, its even crazier! But alas, its a new year and I feel that great things are in store.

Healthy Holiday Eats

Thanksgiving is rolling around the corner and now is the time that I start gathering recipes to make sure that my menu plan goes into fill effect. This year I am going to try to take most of my dishes and make them as healthy as I can make them. For instance, one of our fave dishes to have during the holidays is lasagna. As delicious as it is, it is so easy to pack on the pounds with all that pasta. Now of course I am hoping that the same things doesn't happen this year once I'm cooking where wee needed some work done on our pipes, I'm going to tell hubby be sure to keep tap and die on speed dial just in case. This year I am going to try eggplant or zucchini as noodles and cook it as I usually do. Try it and you wont even miss the pasta.

I swear that almost every year it seems that we make plans to get costumes but then change our minds only to get something last-minute. This has happened the last couple of years.
